1. What Marketmate is

Marketmate is an educational market-research tool. It scans publicly traded stocks, indices, currency pairs and cryptoassets and highlights historical and recent changes in price momentum, and presents charts and automatically generated commentary about them.

Everything Marketmate shows is generated mechanically, from historical market data and third-party company data, by fixed rules written in advance. Nobody at Marketmate reviews an asset before it appears, and no human judgement is applied to your circumstances at any point.

This includes, without limitation: scans and scanner results; trade ideas and setups, whether armed, triggered, running or closed, together with any entry, stop, target, position size or risk figure attached to them; technical and fundamental analysis and any verdict, score, rating or summary they produce, including the words bullish, bearish and neutral; support, resistance and any other level drawn on a chart; momentum, trend, volatility and volume readings; the recorded performance of past setups; and any alert, message or notification sent to you by any channel.

2. No financial advice or recommendation

Nothing in Marketmate constitutes financial, investment, legal, accounting or tax advice, a personal recommendation, or an offer, solicitation or inducement to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument or cryptoasset.

In particular, a trade idea or setup is not a recommendation to trade. An entry, stop or target price is not a recommendation to buy or sell at that price, and a position size or risk figure is not a recommendation about how much to commit. A bullish or bearish verdict is not a recommendation to buy or sell. A level marked on a chart is not a prediction that price will turn there. An alert is not a prompt to act.

These are descriptions of what a fixed set of rules found in past price data, expressed in ordinary trading language because that is the clearest way to describe them. The wording is not a view about what you should do.

Marketmate's output is not tailored to your personal circumstances, objectives, knowledge, experience or risk tolerance, and no assessment of suitability or appropriateness has been carried out. Nothing you see in the app is a suggestion that any action is suitable for you.

Before making any investment decision you should do your own research and, where appropriate, seek advice from an adviser who is authorised and regulated in your jurisdiction.

3. Not regulated

Marketmate and its operators are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), nor by the SEC, SEBI, or any other financial regulator in any jurisdiction.

Marketmate does not carry on regulated activities. It does not arrange deals, manage investments, execute or place orders, hold client money or assets, or provide investment advice. No investor-protection or compensation scheme (including the FSCS) applies to your use of Marketmate.

4. Risk warning

Trading and investing carry a high level of risk. The value of investments can go down as well as up, and you may lose some or all of the money you commit. Cryptoassets are largely unregulated and especially volatile.

Past performance — including any past signal, setup, pattern, verdict or momentum reading shown in Marketmate — is not a reliable indicator of future results. Never risk money you cannot afford to lose.

5. Recorded performance is hypothetical

The performance record in Marketmate is a hypothetical simulation. No money was placed at risk, no order was ever sent to a market, and no position was actually held.

Results are calculated from recorded prices at equal weight, and do not account for commission, spread, financing, slippage, taxes, partial fills, gaps, market closures, or the difference between a price on a chart and a price you could actually have obtained. Real results would differ, and may differ substantially.

Hypothetical results also benefit from being compiled by rules that were fixed in advance but applied to data after the fact. They should not be read as a claim about what any person did earn, or what anyone will earn.

6. No responsibility or liability

You use Marketmate entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marketmate, its owners, operators and contributors accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any loss or damage of any kind — including trading losses, lost profits, or lost opportunities — arising directly or indirectly from your use of, or reliance on, the app or anything it displays.

Any decision you make after seeing information in Marketmate is yours alone.

7. Data and availability

Market data, company accounts, analyst figures and news headlines shown in Marketmate come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete, out of date or simply wrong. Marketmate does not verify them. Scans, readings, verdicts and alerts may be wrong, late, or missing altogether. Marketmate is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, and may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn at any time without notice.

Marketmate is currently in beta. Features and results may change, misbehave or disappear.

8. Your account

Access is invite-only and personal to you. You agree not to share your account, redistribute Marketmate's output, or use the app for any unlawful purpose. Access may be suspended or withdrawn at any time.

9. Intellectual property

The Marketmate name, design, methodology and all content generated by the app remain the property of its operators. You may use the app's output for your own personal, non-commercial research only.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Marketmate after a change means you accept the updated terms.
